Worforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) at Daley

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunitiy Act (WIOA) is a federal program that provides training for people who are out of work, low-income, and need training to change career paths.

Daley College is an approved training provider for the WIOA program. You must be determined eligible and suitable in order to receive WIOA funds. Daley College offers training programs, but does not determine if you qualify for WIOA training funds.

Daley College’s WIOA Eligible Training Programs 

  • CNC Lathe / Mill Operator, Non-Credit 

  • Preventative Maintenance Worker, Non Credit 

  • Welding Operator, Non Credit 

 Eligibility for WIOA funds does not determine eligibility for individual programs. Each program has its own entrance requirements.

Eligibility and suitability are determined at the Chicago Workforce Center, one of the suburban Workforce Centers or a delegate agency. 

 

Program Financial Aid Information 

Students who are Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) eligible do not need to apply for FAFSA. 

NonDACA students, if your program is financialaid eligible, you must apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at https://studentaid.gov/ 

If you are WIOAeligible, bring in your SAR (Student Aid Report) with your Exploration Form. Exploration Forms, for financial aid eligible programs, will not be completed without financial aid information.
