 International Student Services

City Colleges of Chicago is one of the largest and most comprehensive community colleges in the United States and has been an integral part of the City of Chicago since 1911. Comprised of seven colleges located across the city, we offer more than 200 programs of study to prepare our students for a career or to continue their education at a four-year college or university.

The International Student Services office at Wilbur Wright College provides general support services, academic advising, and assistance with the United States Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), formerly known as Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS).

CCC Accepts Three Types of International Students

Mandatory Medical Insurance Requirements

The Board of Trustees of the City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) and the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRIRA) require that international students and dependents maintain health insurance during their course of study. Failure to obtain such insurance or willful violation of this insurance requirement will be considered a violation of status.

Foreign Credentials Evaluation

Educational credentials -- such as transcripts, diplomas, or certificates -- earned at the secondary or post-secondary levels outside of the United States must be evaluated by our international transcript evaluation partner, Educational Perspectives.
