Society of Hispanic Professional EngineersOur purpose is to encourage interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related majors to ALL students at Wright and to promote diversity within the student body.

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) promotes an interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related majors to ALL students at Wright and encourages diversity.

SHPE of Daley College’s mission is to promote the development of our members in engineering, science and other technical professions to achieve educational excellence, economic opportunity and social equity.

We fulfill this mission by increasing educational opportunities, promoting professional and personal growth, carrying out our social responsibility to be involved in education, business and government issues and enhancing pride within our organization and reinforcing our reputation as a vital Hispanic organization.       

Officer Requirements
Officers must be in good standing, enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours, and must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.3 GPA each semester the student is an officer.

Member Requirements
Members must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours each semester with a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Membership is open to all Wright students with an interest in the STEM majors.
