• CINAHL with Full Text – EBSCO Host
Provides full-text access to nursing and allied health literature. Covers topics such as nursing, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health. Has EBSCO host interface.
• Consumer Health Complete – EBSCO Host
A comprehensive consumer-oriented health resource. It is designed to support the information needs of patients and to foster an overall understanding of health-related topics. Content covers all areas of health and wellness from mainstream medicine to perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated medicine. Includes 250 full-text health-related reference books. • EBSCO Host
This is the platform for our most widely used academic databases. EBSCO is an aggregator for the databases: Academic Search Complete, ERIC, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, General Science Full Text (H.W. Wilson), Business Source Elite, CINAHL with Full Text, Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition, Health Source – Consumer Edition, Dentistry & Oral Sciences Source, Education Research Complete, Newspaper Source which are potentially useful in the fields of Health Sciences.
• ERIC via EBSCO Host
ERIC from the U.S. Department of Education is the largest education database in the world. ERIC documents date from 1966. This database includes more than 1.4 million records with links to more than 337,000 documents.
• Health Source – Consumer Edition – EBSCO Host
Database of consumer health information providing access to nearly 80 full-text consumer health magazines, current health-related pamphlets, and nearly 130 full-text health reference books, including books published by the People’s Medical Society. Click here for full coverage list.
• Health Source – Nursing/Academic Edition – EBSCO Host
Provides full-text access to more than 500 scholarly journals focusing on medical disciplines. Coverage of nursing and allied health is particularly strong. Click here for full coverage.
• JSTOR
Digitized back issues of scholarly journals. Covers a wide variety of disciplines with 625 titles in the health sciences. We have access only to citations and abstracts for health science titles.
• PubMed https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/
Free U.S. government database. Citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central or publisher websites.
• Springer Medical eBooks
Springer Medical Books from 2005-2011 are available to read online or download for free and without any digital rights limitations. Many of these books are in the library catalog and searchable by author, title, subject or keyword. This link also offers free full-text access to Springer medical journal articles that are more than two years old. Many more recent books are available via Ebsco and can be found in the catalog.
