President's Statement

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Malcolm X College, I’m pleased to outline the College’s reaffirmation process in preparation for the Higher Learning Commission’s team Comprehensive Evaluation visit to our campus in 2018. This reaffirmation process began in October of 2015 and will continue through the team visit on March 12‐13, 2017.

Utilizing the criteria outlined by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), Malcolm X College’s reaccreditation process provides our College the opportunity to review past challenges and accomplishments, and to identify improvements that will support the mission and work of the institution in the years ahead. The goals and objectives of Reinvention, our strategic plan, continue to support the mission of Malcolm X College by ensuring our students succeed in the classroom, and in the workplace.

I invite you to take part in our reaffirmation process by reaching out to our Office of Accreditation & Compliance or by participating in any of the upcoming reaffirmation forums during the fall semester of 2017 and spring 2018. Broad input from campus constituents and from the public is critical to our campuses reaffirmation of accreditation process.

      Sincerely,
