Sterile Processing Technician - Careers and Resources

Program Schedule

The Sterile Processing Technician program at Malcolm X is a two-semester program beginning each Fall and Spring. The first semester courses are held on campus three days a week. The Fall semester courses are held during the day, and the Spring semester courses are held in the evenings. The second semester is spent at various hospitals throughout the Chicago and suburban areas. The clinical student will attend clinical rotations four days a week either from 6:30 am until 3:00 pm or 3:00 pm until 11:30 pm each assigned day. Upon completion of the program, the graduate will be eligible to sit for the Certified Central Service Technician Exam.​
