CCC Student Account Password Reset​ 

In order to ensure the safety of your personal information and security of CCC’s computer systems, Office of Information Technology is implementing enhanced CCC password standards, which include new criteria for your password and a password expiration date. To make password resets even easier, you can now reset your password using your mobile phone. The self-service password reset tool is available at:    

New Password Standards   

1. Your CCC password will expire every 120 days    

You will begin receiving password expiration notices to your CCC email starting 14 days before your password is due to expire. As soon as you reset your password, the notifications will stop being sent. See a sample password expiration notice here. Password expiration is being implemented on a rolling basis over the next several months, so you may not receive an expiration notice immediately.    

If you don’t reset your password before the expiration date, your account will be locked and you’ll need to contact the Help Desk to have it reset.     

2. Your new password must meet the following criteria:   

  • Your password must be at least eight characters in length
  • Your password must contain three of the following elements: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers or special characters
  • You cannot reuse any of your three previous passwords 

Note: Don’t worry if your current password does not meet these criteria. The new policy will only be enforced for new passwords.   

How to Reset Your Password:
You can reset your password in one of two ways

1. Have a security code sent to your personal email address or mobile phone number
To verify and/or update your personal email or mobile phone, log in to​ and go to:

For Mobile Phone:    

Personal Information > Contact Information > Phone Numbers 
Phone Type: Mobile

For Personal Email:    

Personal Information > Contact Information > Email Addresses
Email Type: Home Email Address

2. Create challenge questions
Log on to with your CCC username and password and create three challenge questions.
