Wellness Center Staff
Eric Crabtree-Nelson, LCSW – Manager
Eric is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. Prior to working at Harold Washington, Eric worked as Assistant Director at Response, an adolescent and young adult program of Jewish Child and Family Services in Skokie for almost six years. There he directed counseling services, prevention education services, and sexual health care services, in addition to working with the board, developing grants, building relationships with community members, and supervising interns. Prior to Eric’s response experience, he supervised clinicians at one of JCFS’s Community Counseling Centers, and before that, supervised group homes caring for youth in the child welfare system. Eric has presented at conferences, consulted with various institutions, and runs his own private practice focused on working with adolescents.
Anna Zettel, Psy.D. – Clinical Counselor
Anna Zettel is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She earned doctorate and master’s in Clinical Psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology (ISPP). She completed her postdoctoral residency at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and her predoctoral internship at Cleveland State University. She also has experience working in private practice and nonprofit settings.
As a generalist psychologist, Dr. Zettel enjoys working with people across a range of personal concerns and cultural backgrounds. Her areas of interest and experience include depression and anxiety, adjusting to college and other life transitions, relationship concerns, and identity development. Dr. Zettel helps students move toward their goals by working collaboratively with them to understand themselves and others within the context of their lives. In addition to her role as a counselor at Harold Washington College, Dr. Zettel supervises graduate student interns in the Wellness Center.
Shay Collins, LSW – Coordinator
Shay Collins is a Licensed Social Worker with dual Masters Degrees in Social Work and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Loyola University Chicago. Shay has worked with various populations including: survivors of intimate partner violence, combat veterans, individuals dealing with substance use challenges and addiction, as well as LGBTQIA individuals. They are currently completing the Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counseling certification as well as an herbalism certification.
Shay currently serve as the Wellness Coordinator in charge of planning and facilitating outreach events that are engaging and insightful, building campus and community partnerships, handling the administrative processes of the office, and generally making sure the Center runs smoothly.
Daria Cooper – Volunteer Counselor
Daria Cooper is a Social Worker licensed to practice in Illinois. Daria received her M.S.W. from Loyola University Chicago and a B.S.Ed from Northwestern University where she majored in Social Policy. Daria’s first graduate school internship was at Chicago Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital where she worked in the inpatient substance abuse unit. Her second internship was in the Wellness Center at Harold Washington College. Following this internship, Daria began volunteering weekly as a Counselor in the Wellness Center.
Daria has particular skill and training in working with women in physical and / or psychologically abusive relationships. Other areas of interest and experience include, but are not limited to, the treatment and understanding of childhood sexual abuse, depression and anxiety, substance abuse, relationship conflicts, and identity issues.
