Transcript FAQ

Parchment by Instructure is one of education’s most trusted intermediaries for electronic records. City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) has partnered with Parchment by Instructure to enable you to request and track your transcripts online.

Why has CCC made the change to online transcript services?

Going online streamlines the transcript request process for you. When you request a transcript online, your Registrar will send the transcripts electronically through Parchment by Instructure who will deliver them on behalf of CCC to the receiving party. Colleges and universities will be able to receive your transcripts in the format they prefer. Additionally, going paperless saves time and money and is better for the environment.

Beginning September 2017, current and recent students who order through the Parchment by Instructure portal will have the opportunity for their transcript to be fulfilled during non-business hours and on weekends, increasing the timeliness of transcript processing.

Yes. When you register with Parchment by Instructure, use the link found here. Follow the instructions. Note: all military student records are located at Harold Washington College.  

You can check the status of your student account and transaction history by visiting View My Student Account or by contacting the Business Office at your college.

What if I need to include an attachment with my transcript?

Please use the "Transcript with Attachment’ option on the Parchment by Instructure site. All orders of this nature are fulfilled by our Registrar’s Offices directly. Please send the attachment to the appropriate college Registrar email:

Please visit my.ccc.edu to retrieve your student ID number or contact your Registrar’s office. 

Using the process described above, request your transcript from the last college you attended. Your entire student record, including all of your coursework at CCC, will show up on your transcript. 

Transcript requests are processed in the order they are received. Current and recent students who order through the Parchment by Instructure portal will have the opportunity for their transcript to be fulfilled during non-business hours and on weekends, increasing the timeliness of transcript processing. Unless you have a hold on your account, requests are normally processed within 1-5 days. Transcripts are sent as soon as they are processed. Students needing attachments included in the transcript request should allow for additional processing time. Note: processing time does not reflect delivery time.

Your electronic transcript is available to the receiving party for 90 days from the time the transcript is delivered, after which time your transcript expires.
