• Do I need a Library card to check out books? 

Your student I.D. is used as your Library card, and is required when checking out books.         


 



Can I access the Library database from home?         


Yes, if you are a current student, you can access the library database. When selecting a database, you will be prompted to login for access.         


 


How many books can I check out at a time?         


You can check out up to 5 books.         


 


•How long is the checkout period?         
The checkout period for students is 2 weeks (4 weeks for staff & faculty), however, you can always renew the books. You can renew by coming to the library or calling the library (773) 602-5449.         

        


•Can members of the community (non-ccc students) checkout books and use the library computers?         
No, book checkout is only for CCC students, however, you may read / view our books while inside the library.         
 
Yes, we have 3 public computers. You must go to a library staff member to get logged into the computers. Public computers are first come, first served.         

   


•Can I check out books and use the computers if I am a student at another CCC?         
Yes, all CCC students have the same computer usage and checkout privileges as KKC students.  You will just need to show your current student I.D. to check out books.         

        


•How do I print?         
First, you will need to purchase a print card. The print card machine only takes $1 bills. Once you purchase the print card, there is 50 cents on the card. .10 for color printing and .05 for BW.         

        


•Is there a fax machine?         
No, the library does not have a fax machine.        

   


Is there a copy machine?         


Yes, the library has 3 copy machines. .05 for copying.
