Getting There

By public transit: Several transit routes run adjacent to the college, including the CTA Blue Line, Red Line, Brown Line, Green Line, Orange Line, Pink Line, and Purple Line, as well as the CTA bus #2, 10, 29, 124, 146, 148.

By bike: Bike racks are available at the entrance of the college on Lake Street.

By car: Cars access the college from Lake Street. There is no parking onsite, but the Wabash-Randolph Self Park Garage at 20 E. Randolph provides discounted parking to Harold Washington College students and visitors. Be sure to ask for parking validation from the Harold Washington College Security Desk before leaving the college to take advantage of the discount.   

Discount parking can be obtained by having the parking ticket validated at the Harold Washington College Security desk on the first floor in the lobby.  The following parking facilities offer discounts based on validated parking tickets:

HWC students and staff can apply for a parking pass at 5 S. Columbus (HWC ID Required). Once completed, a magnetic card is issued.
