 Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA)

Gloria White
Project Coordinator

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) formerly Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is a federally funded program that is designed to help job seekers access employment, education, training, and support services to succeed in the labor market and to match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy.

Kennedy-King College is a Certified Training Provider for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).  The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a law that provides training for people who are out of work, or whose skills need improving in order to obtain a new job.  You must be determined eligible in order to receive WIOA funds.  Kennedy-King College offers training programs but does not determine if you qualify for WIOA training funds.

Eligibility for WIOA funds does not determine eligibility for individual programs. Each program has its own entrance requirements.
