Why Study Math at KKC?

We are growing! The Department of Mathematics currently offers a wide range of courses expressly designed to strengthen student skills in a number of formats and times including online, day, and evening classes. Today, we are working on new and innovative ways to increase student learning and student success, and professionally develop our students who are on the path to the baccalaureate. Mathematics courses contribute to many of the transfer requirements in multiple programs at Kennedy-King related to Science, Technology and Engineering. Personalizing your Associate of Science degree with a variety of mathematics courses and electives can only strengthen your analytic and problem-solving skills, and understanding of complex mathematical concepts. Students who have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of higher-level mathematics are routinely sought out by employers because of their skills – to think logically, to problem-solve, and to understand technical information.
