The Herald is a student-run news organization offering an open forum for student news and opinion and does not necessarily represent, in whole and in part, the views of college administrators, faculty, staff, or the students of Harold Washington College.

The staff is composed of journalism students completing English 150, The College Newspaper, and volunteers.
