The National American Association of Women in Community Colleges was organized in 1973 and became a council of the (AACC) American Association of Community Colleges in February 1974. The Truman College Chapter was given official local chapter status by the national AAWCC Board in March, 1992.
The Truman AAWCC Chapter is open to all: faculty administrators, clerical, and custodial staff, as well as students from all divisions and programs at Truman College.
