- Student Systems: Supports the full student lifecycle through systems that manage academic structure, admissions and recruiting, student records, financial aid, student financials, academic advisement, and student self-service. This also includes faculty management tools, student completion tracking, and support for initiatives like the Star Scholarship Program.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Manages platforms such as Salesforce and Oracle RightNow to support student engagement, recruitment, and communication. This includes configuration, access control, marketing automation through Marketing Cloud and Datorama, and integration with third-party tools.
- Human Capital Management (HR): Oversees systems related to employee services including human resources, benefits administration, payroll, talent acquisition, recruitment and onboarding, time and labor, compensation, and employee self-service.
- Finance Systems: Handles institutional financial operations such as purchasing and procurement, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting and grants, general ledger, commitment accounting, asset management and inventory, travel and expense processing, and vendor management and contracts.
- Portal & Integration Services: Maintains the institutional portal and ensures seamless integration with third-party systems. Responsibilities include managing system releases, patches, and tax updates; supporting reporting and compliance with regulations; conducting periodic audits; overseeing PeopleSoft administration; and advising on procurement and RFP processes.

- Business Intelligence (BI): Provides technical support for college researchers and decision-makers through the development of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations. The team ensures data transparency, supports BI tool usage, and offers recommendations for BI platforms that best meet institutional needs.
- Data Analytics: Leads the institution’s data analytics strategy and operations, supporting enterprise-wide analysis and insights. This includes evaluating and recommending tools that enhance the college’s ability to make data-informed decisions.
- Data Management: Oversees data governance, architecture, access, and privacy to ensure responsible and secure data practices. This function supports institutional integrity and compliance while enabling effective data use across departments.
- Data Warehouse: Manages the architecture, development, and customization of the college’s data warehouse. Responsibilities include integrating data sources, optimizing performance, maintaining the technology stack, and providing ongoing technical support.

- Policy, Governance & Asset Management: Establishes and maintains the institution’s information security governance framework, including policies, procedures, and rules. This function also oversees asset management and tracking to ensure accountability and protection of institutional resources.
- Security Awareness & Training: Promotes a culture of security through awareness campaigns, phishing simulations, and training programs. These initiatives help faculty, staff, and students recognize and respond to potential threats, reinforcing safe digital practices.
- Risk Management & Threat Detection: Monitors and evaluates the institution’s security posture through managed threat response, vulnerability scans (including those by CISA), security score tracking, and network monitoring. This includes the use of SIEM tools for log gathering and real-time threat detection.
- Incident Management & Response: Coordinates the institution’s response to security incidents through a dedicated response team. This includes addressing vulnerabilities, maintaining response procedures, and conducting follow-up training after phishing or other incidents.
- Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: Ensures institutional resilience through disaster recovery exercises and business continuity planning at the departmental, institutional, and city levels. These efforts support rapid recovery and sustained operations in the event of disruptions.

- Network Services: Manages the institution’s core connectivity infrastructure, including wireless access, internet services, VPN access, and network security. This also includes the administration of email systems to ensure reliable communication across the district.
- Data Centers: Oversees the college’s data storage and server infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, system backups, and application services. This function ensures high availability, performance, and security of hosted systems and services.
- Identity Management: Handles account provisioning, access control, and single sign-on services to ensure secure and efficient user access to institutional systems. This includes managing network and systems access allocation across the organization.
- Telecommunication Systems: Supports voice communication through telephony and VoIP systems, voicemail, intercampus connectivity, and call center management to ensure seamless communication across all campuses.

- Academic Technology: Supports the D2L Brightspace Learning Management System (LMS) and other academic platforms, providing training for faculty and staff, managing student information systems, and supporting assessment projects and the employee training platform.
- Web Development: Designs, develops, and maintains CCC’s digital properties, including custom web applications and APIs. This team ensures that web platforms are functional, accessible, and aligned with institutional goals.
- IT Service Management: Operates the IT Helpdesk and manages service delivery through incident, change, knowledge, and service-level management. Responsibilities also include event coordination and IT asset and inventory management.
- Microsoft 365: Administers SharePoint and provides solution design, development, and training for Microsoft 365 tools to support collaboration and productivity across the institution.
- Middleware: Ensures seamless integration and synchronization between systems, including support for Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) to enhance the digital learning environment.
- Technology Standards: Oversees software and hardware governance, maintains the service catalog, supports ADA-compliant software, and manages the student laptop loaner program to ensure equitable access to technology.

Hands-on and remote support teams at District Office and at each CCC campus IT Department provide personalized assistance and ensure the smooth operation of IT services across all locations.

- Computer Support: Provides direct technical assistance to faculty, students, and corporate partners through local help desk services. This includes managing the computer lifecycle, supporting student loaner and “Learn to Own” laptop programs, and overseeing software and IT asset management.
- Classrooms and Labs: Supports a wide range of specialized instructional environments, including science labs, Net Tech and cybersecurity labs, Mac labs for creative arts, fabrication labs, medical labs, advanced manufacturing, and engineering spaces. This ensures that academic programs have the technology they need to thrive.
- Audio-Visual: Manages classroom technology and AV systems across campuses, including interactive displays, projectors, theater and auditorium setups, campus-wide digital messaging, Hybrid-Flexible (HyFlex) learning environments, and conference room technology. Also supports IT asset and inventory management related to AV equipment.
- Departmental Tech Support: Delivers tailored technology support to academic and administrative departments, including student services, adult education, and the Access Center. This includes innovation support and ADA-compliant software solutions.
- Events: Coordinates internal and external events by providing AV integration, PC and tech setup, and planning support to ensure smooth execution of campus events.
- Modernization: Partners with departments, faculty, and students to explore, implement, and innovate with new technologies that enhance learning and operations across the institution.
