ION Course Registration

The information below will provide information regarding registration and prepaid course seat approval for ION courses.

Please note that prepaid course seat approval is dependent upon availability of funds. Meeting the qualifications specified does not guarantee a prepaid seat.   

Required ION Courses     

Instructors who are not currently credentialed to teach online will need to meet the following criteria to be considered for a prepaid course seat:     



  • Full Time CCC Faculty 
  • Part Time CCC Faculty must be teaching for CCC for one year and credentialed to teach in a discipline offered online



A request form must be submitted two weeks prior to the start of the ION session to receive consideration for prepaid course seats.

Instructors meeting the above criteria will be permitted to take the courses listed below using a prepaid course seat.     




    • Online Learning: An Overview




    • Instructional Design for Online Course Development




    • Student Assessment in Online Courses

The Blended-Hybrid Learning Design and Instruction will also be approved but is not required to teach online courses.     

Master of Online Teaching Courses     


Instructors who have completed the required courses listed above and wish to pursue additional courses to obtain the Master of Online Teaching certificate must have at least 3 semesters of online teaching experience with CCC.  Department Chair/AOC approval is required.

Founding Member Rate     

All CCC employees are eligible to receive the ION Founding Member rate.  Individuals not meeting the criteria for prepaid course seats will receive the discounted rate of 150/course.    

      

 ION Course Registration     

Upon submission of the request form you will receive an email containing instructions for ION registration.  You will be notified if your request for a prepaid seat has been approved via email prior to the start of your course.
