City Colleges of Chicago is one of the largest and most comprehensive community colleges in the United States and has been an integral part of the City of Chicago since 1911. Comprised of seven colleges located across the city, we offer more than 200 programs of study to prepare our students for a career or to continue their education at a four-year college or university.
CCC Accepts Three Types of International Students
The Board of Trustees of the City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) require that all International Students under F1 status (student visa) attending City Colleges of Chicago must have health insurance before they can register for classes. (No exceptions) Failure to obtain such insurance or willful violation of this insurance requirement will be considered a violation of status.
Educational credentials -- such as transcripts, diplomas, or certificates -- earned at the secondary or post-secondary levels outside of the United States must be evaluated by our international transcript evaluation partner, Educational Perspectives and the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, also known as NACES. Students may also have their transcripts evaluated by WES, https://www.wes.org or ECE, https://www.ece.org.
