HW Wellness Center Practicum Details
The Harold Washington College Wellness Center Team welcomes Master’s graduate students in clinical/counseling psychology or social work seeking a Therapy practicum placement and Doctoral graduate students seeking a Diagnostic, Therapy, or Advanced practicum placement.
Ideal applicants:
- Personal characteristics include empathy, humor, intelligence, initiative, and a social justice mindset.
- Invested in professional growth for themselves and the intern group
- Enjoy being around an environment that emphasizes and celebrates cultural diversity
- The ability to accept constructive criticism
- Desire to be a part of a treatment team and the ability to support all their team members
- Flexible enough to try different methods of therapy or to develop groups/build workshops/give presentations
- Will take tasks through to completion
