Office of the General Counsel

The mission of the office is to provide superior legal counsel, guidance and policy analysis to the colleges, satellite campuses, WKKC, the District Office, and the Board of Trustees to ensure that the District’s decisions and actions comply with federa​l, state, and local law.   

Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA")   

All FOIA requests must be submitted in writing and directed to: (i) GenCounselOffice@ccc.edu; or (ii) FOIA Officer, 180 N. Wabash, Ste. 200, Chicago, IL 60601. FOIA requests must be submitted as directed above to ensure receipt of such request and to receive a response to such request. The statutory period for complying with or denying a FOIA request shall not begin until the request is received in writing at the above e-mail or mail address.​
