Mission
Fueled by the generosity of Chicago's philanthropic community, the City Colleges of Chicago Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, raises charitable contributions to support community college students from all backgrounds in reaching their academic and career goals.

The cumulative impact of a gift to CCCF is far-reaching. Contributions support:                
  • ​Innovative programming that prepares students for the future workforce and forges clear pathways to college from Chicago Public Schools;
  • Scholarships that create access to a quality, affordable education; 
  • And student supports from emergency funding to housing coordination that ensure CCC is meeting the needs of all students.

The Foundation
​Established on August 20, 1971, the City Colleges of Chicago Foundation (CCCF) exists to secure philanthropic resources to support a wide array of educational programs and services available to support the students, alumni, faculty and staff of City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) through various programs and initiatives.

              
The Foundation is a separate not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, governed by an independent board of directors. The Foundation focuses on providing financially for the needs of the City Colleges of Chicago that cannot be met through government funding or student tuition income. CCCF has awarded millions of dollars in Scholarships since 2010, which has helped support student persistence and completion.            

              
Rhonda K. Brown is president of City Colleges of Chicago Foundation. For 22 years she has been working i the not-for-profit sector leading advancement initiatives that build capacity and awareness in the arts, healthcare and higher education.​

2022 SEVEN STRONG SPEAKER SERIES COMES TO A SUCCESSFUL CLOSE WITH BREAKFAST PANEL AT MALCOLM X COLLEGE     

The 2022 City Colleges of Chicago Foundation Seven Strong Speaker Series came to a successful close on Wednesday, May 25, with an invited breakfast audience of more than 200 and a live-streamed panel discussion, "A Call to Action for Equity and Inclusion," at City College's Malcolm X College. The event included the presentation of the Ella Flagg Young Award to Accenture, accepted by Accenture's Chicago Managing Partner, Jim Coleman.     

Mr. Coleman joined moderator Nicole Johnson Scales, CEO, NJS Consulting, and panelists Pedro Martinez, CEO, Chicago Public Schools, and Juan Salgado, Chancellor, City Colleges of Chicago, for the panel discussion, the fifth and final presentation in the 2022 series. The event was live-streamed to an Internet audience.    

The 2022 Seven Strong Speaker Series, "Essential Inclusion: Solutions for a Vibrant Chicago," was a fundraiser for the City Colleges of Chicago Foundation in its support of community college students from all backgrounds in reaching their academic and career goals. Donations to aid the Foundation in its mission may be made here​. ​
