This program aims to increase the number of socially and economically disadvantaged individuals working on IDOT highway construction projects. Career services are provided, however, employment is not guaranteed.                  Â

In addition to getting a foot in the door in the construction industry, developing contacts, and mastering building techniques, qualified students will also enjoy program benefits, including boots, tools, and supportive services.  Â

Students should expect to spend eight hours a day, five days a week learning construction techniques, and must commit to participating in all 16 weeks of the HCCTP training program. Â

The Spring 2022 HCCTP Cohort begins January 18, 2022.Â

Basic skills testing will be held at 11am in Room 239 on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning
November 1 until December 8, 2021. Â
You must bring a valid driver's license, GED/HS Diploma or college transcripts in order to test.
