Blackboard Learn

Blackboard is a virtual learning environment and course management system designed to fully support online courses and to enhance face to face courses through a host of tools such as discussion boards and online quizzes and the sharing of documents, videos, or other interactive content. Blackboard also provides integrations with many of the online course content platforms and resources instructors may wish to use in their classes. Blackboard allows students to submit assignments online and to view their grades. With the Mobile Learn app, students can participate in classroom activities from their mobile devices.

All students and faculty have Blackboard accounts and can login with their CCC username and password at or through

All courses taught at CCC automatically have a corresponding Blackboard course and all students and the instructor are automatically enrolled. Faculty need to make their Blackboard course(s) available; otherwise, students will not have access. Students will receive an email when the instructor enables the course.

Students can participate with two-way audio, text messaging, a shared whiteboard, polling, and more. Advanced features include breakout rooms, which the instructor can create for group work. Lectures can be recorded and made available to students who may have missed a lecture or wish to review. Collaborate is part of all Blackboard Learn Courses. In addition, any CCC employees may request a “stand-alone” account for conducting virtual meetings. Learn More.
