Accessing Blackboard

About Blackboard

Blackboard 9.1 is our course management system that enables faculty to post syllabi, assignments, and other course materials on the web including multimedia without having to learn HTML or have programming skills.

Faculty also may extend classroom discussion through its on-line discussion board; email students in their class; allow students to submit papers on-line and view assignment grades from the Blackboard grade center.

Blackboard access

Who gets Blackboard access?
All students and faculty have Blackboard accounts and can access these materials by using their CCC username and password to log into the Blackboard site ( ) or the CCC Portal ( ). These materials are accessible from anywhere at any time, as long as the user has internet access.
When do you get access?

All courses taught at CCC automatically have a corresponding Blackboard course and all students and the instructor are automatically enrolled. However, Faculty decide when they will make a Blackboard course available/visible to their students. Typically, instructors make courses available to students on the first day of class.
If you do not see your course, please contact or call 312-553-2600.
