Registration Opens on November 7th for City Colleges of Chicago Spring 2019 Semester

City Colleges of Chicago offers a quality, affordable education that puts students on a pathway to bachelor’s degree programs and in-demand careers. 

Chicagoans can take classes for college credit at any of the seven City Colleges of Chicago or its five satellite sites to earn basic and advanced certificates or an associate degree. Each college offers a wide array of general education classes, specializes in a focused, in-demand field, and provides the resources that students need to be successful as they prepare to transfer or find jobs or internships. Many locations also offer non-credit classes: free English as a Second Language classes, free high school equivalency (GED) preparation classes, and continuing education classes. 

As the largest community college system in Illinois and the largest higher education institution in the city, City Colleges provides quality, relevant programs at an affordable rate. There are many ways that City Colleges students pay for their education, including scholarships, financial aid, and a monthly payment plan. To learn more, visit 

All Spring 2019 credit courses are listed at Courses labeled “IAI” in the City Colleges academic catalog have been approved by the Illinois Articulation Initiative and will easily transfer to the more than 100 Illinois colleges and universities participating in IAI. Courses are offered during the day, in the evening, on weekends, and also online.  

New and continuing students are urged to register for spring courses now, and can apply by visiting Spring classes begin January 14, 2019. The seven City Colleges of Chicago are:

  • Olive-Harvey College – 10001 S. Woodlawn Ave.  
  • Richard J. Daley College – 7500 S. Pulaski Rd.  
  • Wilbur Wright College – 4300 N. Narragansett Ave.
