Child Development Laboratory Schools

Enroll your Pre-K child (ages 2-5, depending on location) at City Colleges of Chicago’s Child Development Laboratory Schools and help provide him or her with life-long social, emotional and academic skills.

We know that children have different rates of development, language skills, cultural backgrounds, and learning styles, and our classrooms are structured to reflect that.

Our teaching strategies are aligned with the Head Start Early Learning Framework and the Illinois Early Learning Standards. We are also licensed by the State of Illinois.

Benefits of enrolling your child at City Colleges of Chicago’s Child Development Laboratory Schools include:
•    A supportive and safe learning environment
•    Small class sizes
•    Year-round enrollment
•    Financial assistance for families who qualify

Child Development Laboratory Schools provide high-quality childcare for preschool children that incorporates diversity, including, but not limited to: gender, culture, language, ethnicity, ability, race and economic status.

We work to:
•    Establish a meaningful partnership with families to support each child’s healthy development
•    Provide comprehensive services and programing that promote school readiness to children and families
•    Understand that developing a child’s first language supports learning a second language
•    Collaborate with parents of children with disabilities to ensure their needs are being met
•    Ensure that children with disabilities have access to and can fully participate in the full range of activities and services, including making modifications to both environment and instruction

To enroll your child, please contact the location you are interested in directly. They will help walk you through the enrollment process and answer any questions you may have.
