Crisis Services

Crisis Services

  • Provides support when you’re feeling extremely overwhelmeded, depressed, or angry and don’t know where to turn.
  • Offers guidance and hope if you’re feeling hopeless or have thoughts of self-harm
  • Is available on a walk-in basis during Wellness Center hours

Walk in to the Wellness Center or call us to set up an appointment.  Your counselor can assist you in creating a plan and provide support and encouragement to help you solve your crisis.

If the Wellness Center is closed and you are experiencing a crisis

If the Wellness Center is closed, you believe that your concerns require immediate attention, but you are not experiencing an emergency, one of the following crisis hotlines may assist you:

What if I’m having feelings of harming myself? 

If you are having thoughts of self-harm, know that with support you will feel better.  It is very important that you reach out to a friend, family member or counselor.  A meeting with a Wellness Center staff member can be extremely helpful. Your Wellness Center counselor will not judge your feelings and is committed to helping you feel more hopeful and able to address the challenges in your life. 
  • During business hours, call or stop by the Wellness Center.
  • Outside of business hours, if you need in-person assistance, immediately contact Security, call 911, or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.  At any of these locations, helpful, understanding staff are available to support you.
