Talent management comprises all of the specialist work processes and systems that are related to hiring, developing and retaining a high-performing workforce.  These specialist areas include recruiting, labor and employee relations, onboarding, retention strategies and performance management.

Talent management enables managers to play a significant role with the tools and resources to directly manage and lead in the ongoing development of and retention of superior employees.
