Outside Employment

The City Colleges of Chicago permits employees to maintain employment in addition to their employment with CCC as long as it does not interfere or create a conflict of interest with their CCC employment. Any such employment shall be referred to as "Outside Employment" and shall be defined as any and all forms of activity for which payment in the form of cash, services, or benefits of any value is received and includes traditional employment, independent contractors, self-employment arrangements, consulting and research or any other form of employment outside of the City Colleges of Chicago.

In accordance with Board Policy, Full-Time Administrators, Full-Time Faculty and Full-Time Training Specialists in employee job families 110, 301-303 and 321, respectively, are required  to report all outside employment and earnings in the Spring semester of each year.

To remain in compliance with the policy, affected employees are asked to login to PeopleSoft's Employee Self-Service when required, to complete the online Outside Employment form in your Personal Information section.
