Getting Started (Summer 2013)

Step 1: CDL Orientation:
Attend/view online New Student Orientation Session.

Step 2: TextBooks:
The Summer 2013 session book information will be posted on May 7, 2013*. Students are not to order any course materials prior to that date. Click to read more information on textbooks.

Step 3: Broadcasts (Section TW courses only):
Summer 2013 term broadcasts will begin airing June 10, 2013* on public broadcasting Channel 20. Click here to view broadcast schedule.

Step 4: Retrieve username:
Go to https://apps.ccc.edu/passwordreset/ and follow the steps to activate your student username and password that allows you to login into My.CCC.edu (http://my.ccc.edu) (your official class information), Student Email (http://student.ccc.edu) (required for all CDL courses) and Blackboard (http://ccc.blackboard.com) (website for all of your CDL courses).

Step 5: Course Pursuit:
Students can begin to login to their Summer 2013 online course(s) on June 5, 2013*.  Login to http://ccc.blackboard.com for syllabus information. This will be the first day you can login to your course(s).

Students registered in distance learning courses who fail to logon and navigate each Blackboard course at least once on two different days before the statistical reporting day (6/5/2013 to 6/9/2013 by 11:59 pm) of the term will be withdrawn from the course and issued an NSW. Absolutely no tuition or fee refunds or adjustments will be given after these dates.
Example: John registered for a CDL class. The first day of Summer 2013 classes start on June 5, 2013. John logs on to http://ccc.blackboard.com on June 5, 2013 and downloads the course syllabus. On June 6, 2013 John logs on to http://ccc.blackboard.com again and views what assignments are due for the week and any new announcements the instructor may have posted.

Step 6: Student Email:
Check your student email account at http://student.ccc.edu for any new messages you might have from your instructor.

Step 7: Exams/Testing:
All CDL courses require a minimum of one proctored exam. Students can schedule proctored exams and view testing times at each City Colleges Testing Center for the Summer 2013 term beginning on June 5, 2013*. Students may also complete required CDL proctored exams at an offsite testing location.
