Online GED Classes

City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) is now offering free online GED preparation courses through I Pathways. With I Pathways you can study for the GED on your own time from any computer​ at home with a high-speed internet connection. As a registered student you may use the computers at the campus.    

 

Eligibility       
        

    In order to be eligible for I Pathways program you must:    

  • score at or above the 9th grade-level in reading and the 7.0 grade-level in math on the Tests of Adult Basic     
  • Education (TABE). The TABE is provided by the City Colleges of Chicago;  have reliable, regular access to a computer with high-speed internet access (DSL or Cable Modem)        
  • have basic computer skills such as keyboarding, navigating the internet and using em
  • have the ability to work independently; and
  • be willing to spend a minimum of 5-7 hours per week studying online, at your own pace.​​

  • Select a college from the list on the right side of this page.

  • Call to request an appointment

  • Plan to go to the campus on the day of appointment to take a placement​ test and complete registration
