Financial Aid Events

​February is Financial Aid Awareness Month. Wright College encourages you to take advantage of these opportunities to enrich your financial aid awareness.

 

FAFSA FRENZY FRIDAY

Dates: February 4th through April 26th, 2013
Time: 2pm – 4pm
Location: Financial Aid Office, Room A128
Overview: The Financial Aid Office will be holding an open lab for students seeking assistance with completion of The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

 

FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOPS

Dates/Time/Location: 2:30pm--5pm, February 4th & 19th and March 4th & 19th, 2013 Humboldt Park Vocational Education Center (HPVEC) Room 202
Also, February 7th & 21st and March 7th & 21st, 2013 Humboldt Park Vocational Education Center (HPVEC) Room 214
Overview: The Financial Aid Office staff will be conducting 1-hour workshops on financial aid. Topics of discussion will include an overview of the financial aid process, the importance of responsible borrowing, Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), and the best ways to preserve financial aid eligibility in preparation for transfer to a four-year institution.
On the actual day for Financial Aid Awareness (February 28, 2013) we will be located in the Art Lobby of the main campus, from 9am to 6pm where we will have a representative from Fifth Third Bank to talk to students about budgets, student loan repayments, identity theft and other related issues.
 

EMPOWERMENT MOBILE

Date: February 27th, 2013
Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Location: Parking Lot D 
Overview: The District Office has arranged for Fifth Third Bank to send their “Empowerment Mobile” to all seven campuses to assist students and the local communities in learning about various financial literacy topics.
