Honors Program Eligibility

To join the Honors Program, students must meet or surpass three of the following four eligibility criteria:       

New Students ​  

1) Grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or above in High School courses, 2) composite ACT score of 25 or above, 3) personal statement, 4) interview with Honors faculty.    

A letter of recommendation may be required. Please refer to the directons in the new student application.      

    

Current or Returning Students  

1) Grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or above in college-level courses in your most recent academic semester, 2) composite ACT score of 25 or above, 3) personal statement, 4) interview with Honors faculty.       
   

If you are very close to meeting the GPA and ACT criteria, but your numbers aren’t quite high enough, we still encourage you to apply and interview with us.    

   

You must be a member of Wright’s Honors Program to enroll in Honors Courses or pursue an Honors Contract​.​  

   

Members of Wright College’s Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society automatically qualify for Honors courses and do not need to complete the Honors application.  Not a member of PTK? Find out more by clicking on the Phi Theta Kappa link at the right side of your screen.
