What is Parchment?

Parchment (formerly known as Docufide; note: previous Docufide account information, login credentials, and history have been transitioned to Parchment) is one of education’s most trusted intermediaries for electronic records. City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) has partnered with Parchment to enable you to request and track your transcripts online.
 

Parchment has a new look. Has my profile changed?

The update from exchange.parchment.com does not impact your login credential or any history of previous transactions from both Parchment and Docufide. You will be able to login with the same credential.
 

Why has CCC made the change to online transcript services?

Going online streamlines the transcript request process for you. When you request a transcript online, your Registrar will send the transcripts electronically through Parchment who will deliver them on behalf of CCC to the receiving party. Colleges and universities will be able to receive your transcripts in the format they prefer. Additionally, going paperless saves time and money and is better for the environment.
 

How will this service benefit me?

Ordering transcripts online is simple, quick, and secure. You will receive an email message confirming your order, and a second email message confirming delivery (or that your paper transcript has been mailed). You no longer have to make a special trip to campus or drop your transcript request in the mail. Now you can request and track your transcripts online 24/7.
 

Where can I find the Parchment online transcript request service?

Go to Request a Transcript on our website and click on the “get started online” button. This will take you to Parchment (click on the “Students” tab) where you can register and create an account.
 

How do I use Parchment?

First, register with a valid email address (initial visit only). Choose a password and complete your profile. Follow the instructions in the confirmation email to validate your account and complete your registration. Once you have created and validated your account, sign-in any time to select destinations where you’d like transcripts sent – other colleges or universities, employers, or even yourself. Confirm your selections, accept the user agreement, and pay online. You can check back any time to see the status of your requests and track delivery in real time.
 

I am a former student. Can I order my transcripts online?

Yes. Current and former students follow the same process. Note: if you attended one of our colleges that has subsequently been renamed or closed, please order your transcript from the college identified here.
 

I am a former Military student (took CCC courses while in the military). Can I order my transcripts online?

Yes. When you register with Parchment, search for CCC Military. Click the Begin Registration link beside City Colleges of Chicago - Military Transcripts Only. Follow the instructions. Note: all Military student records are located at Harold Washington College.
 

I have a hold on my CCC account. Can I order my transcripts online?

Current or former students with a delinquent account hold (outstanding balance due) at any of our colleges will be unable to receive transcripts until all outstanding balances are paid in full. You can check the status of your student account and transaction history by visiting View My Student Account or by contacting the Business Office at your college.
 

What if I forgot my Student ID Number?

Please visit my.ccc.edu to retrieve your student ID number or contact your Registrar’s office.
 

I attended multiple CCC colleges. How do I order my online transcripts?

Using the process described above, request your transcript from the last college you attended. Your entire student record, including all of your coursework at CCC, will show up on your transcript.
 

How long does it take to process a transcript request?

Transcript requests are processed in the order they are received. Unless you have a hold on your account, requests are normally processed within 3-5 business days, except during periods of peak volume when additional time may be required. Transcripts are sent as soon as they are processed. Note: processing time does not reflect delivery time.
 

How long is my electronic transcript available?

Your electronic transcript is available to the receiving party for 90 days from the time the transcript is delivered, after which time your transcript expires.
