Register for Adult Education Classes

To get started, please visit the Adult Education Office in Room 2424 (Main Campus)

You will complete an intake card and get appointments for placement testing and registration as needed. 


Please bring proof that you live in Illinois. Accepted documents:

  • State of Illinois I.D. or driver's license  
  • Matricula Consular   
  • US Mail  
  • Utility bill (water, gas, electric, phone) 
  • Signed letter from a homeless shelter 
  • Current orders or letter for military service 
 

Prerequisites

  • Students must live in Illinois and show proof of residency.
  • Students do NOT need a social security number.
  • Students must be at least 18 years old in order to enroll in adult education classes. 16 and 17 year-olds may register with an official release letter certifying that they are no longer attending high school.
  • Students who hold J1 visas are not permitted to take Adult Eduction classes. 

Cost

​Adult Education classes are free according to the rules of the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB).
