Financial Aid Events

​February is Financial Aid Awareness Month. Truman College encourages you to take advantage of these opportunities to enrich your financial aid awareness.

 

FINISH YOUR FAFSA

Dates/Times: February 4th, 12th, 28th, 2013 2pm & Feb 20th, 2013 5pm
Location: Room L-935
Overview: The Financial Aid Office will be holding an open lab for students seeking assistance with completion of The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). 

 

LOANS, LOANS, LOANS!

Date: February 6th, 2013
Time: 2pm
Location: Room 146
Overview: Topics will include the importance of responsible borrowing as well as the details regarding the repayment of student loans.

 

PAYING FOR THE NURSING PROGRAM

Date: February 14th, 2013

Overview: The Financial Aid Staff will be available to help students explore their options for financing the Nursing Program.

 

EMPOWERMENT MOBILE

Date: February 19th, 2013
Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Location: outside of the Larry McKeon Building, off of Racine Ave.
Overview: The District Office has arranged for Fifth Third Bank to send their “Empowerment Mobile” to all seven campuses to assist students and the local communities in learning about various financial literacy topics
 

 

SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOP

Date: February 26th, 2013

Overview: We will guide students through the steps for applying for internal scholarships.  We will also discuss tips for searching for scholarships and provide referrals to relevant outside scholarships.
