The West Side Learning Center is the satellite location for Malcolm X College.

As the satellite location for Malcolm X College, the West Side Learning Center offers courses in the following areas of adult and continuing education.

  • Basic Skills and GED
  • Certified nursing assistant (CNA)

​Adult Education is conducting:

Adult Education Testing and Registration at the West Side Learning Center for the fall 2012 term.

Come thirty minutes early and allow three hours for registration, orientation, and placement testing.
Testing Times:

Monday and Wednesday, 4:00 pm

Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9:00 am

Residency Verification Required:

**Any identification must be current and have the correct address.

Best: Valid State of Illinois Driver's License, State of Illinois I. D., or Matricula Consular I. D.

Can verify residency with: Current Voter Registration Card, Public Aid Card, Medical Card, or Utility Bill

Classes begin Monday, August 27, 2012

  • Career Bridge Programs at City Colleges
    City Colleges offers Career Bridge Classes at six Adult Education departments. These classes are for students who test from 6.0 to 8.9 on the TABE placement exam. They are an opportunity to build basic skills while learning about careers in the healthcare field.
