Mathematics - Math Lab

Math Emporium

Malcolm X College’s Math Emporium is designed for student learning and facilitating access to technology in the classroom.

Emporium Layout
It spans the space of three designated rooms: 3306, 3307, and 3308. Room 3306 can be used as a stand-along space with a glass wall divider and French-door access. In this multi-purpose space, it has the capacity to accommodate approximately 90 students. Also, the emporium has three Smartboards with multi-media integration capabilities.

Goals for Space
Future use of the space include team teaching by manipulating wall dividers to open and close the space. In addition, faculty use the computers to facilitate online lab assignments (i.e. Pearson’s MyMathLab©).
