The dinner showcases industry-ready WCI student chefs and the hospitality skills of CPS students interested in the culinary arts. Two of Chicago’s leading private club chefs were honored during the dinner: Michael Pivoney, Executive Chef, Mid America Club and Greg Carso, Executive Chef, The Metropolitan Club, both are WCI alums. This year’s Industry Honoree is another great club chef - Michael Garbin, Executive Chef, Union League Club, Chicago. Chef Alexander Dering received the WCI Educator of the year award.
