Minorities in Science and Engineering Improvement Program-MSEIP

Through support and targeted instruction, the program works to increase the number of participants who enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education.

Students must agree to cooperate with the program and make an effort to improve their performance by utilizing program services.

Program services include:

  • Saturday Academy in Science
  • ACT/SAT Prep
  • Study Skill Enhancement
  • Cultural Enrichment
  • College Readiness
  • Summer Bridge Program

Summer Bridge Program 

Science is all about creating, building, and making things better! If you like math and science, you are off to a great start. If you enjoy discovering new things, solving problems, and learning how things work - even better! Our Summer Bridge program will be a great start to your career in science. 

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to the MSEIP program, the following criteria must be met:

  • The applicant must be a potential first-generation college student.
  • All first-time participants must be a junior or senior in High school.
  • All first-time participants must be under 19 years of age.

Parental Involvement Required

Parents must take an active role in their child’s education. Parental responsibilities include volunteering and attending parent meetings and workshops or seminars.

Please complete the MSEIP Application form and return it to MSEIP Program Director. Students must also have one of their teachers to complete and submit the Teacher Recommendation Form.  In addition, students must request and submit an unofficial transcript from their high school and will be required to interview with the Program Director.​
