New Student Orientation - Sign up today!

When you attend orientation you will:                         

  • Make valuable connections with peers, student leaders, and campus staff.
  • Discover Daley’s academic support services and degree programs.
  • Learn how to select and register for classes– leaving campus with your first semester schedule in hand!
  • Learn how to navigate the responsibilities of college (e.g. college academics, financial obligations, and personal development).
  • Explore opportunities to get involved in student organizations and athletics.
  • Become energized and excited about being a student at Richard J. Daley College!         

  

Visit the Welcome Center to schedule a New Student Orientation or you may schedule your Orientation online at daorientation.eventbrite.com​  As a reminder, COMPASS Placement exams must be completed at least a week before your scheduled orientation. Be sure to stop into the Welcome Center to obtain the testing acknowledgement​ sheet!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

New Student Orientation Checklist                         
  
 
  • Complete the Online Admissions Application, if you have not already done so.  
  • Provide Residency Verification 
  • Submit official high school, and/or college transcripts
  • Retrieve your username and password
    • Students must retrieve their log-in credentials prior to attending orientation. Click here to retrieve your username or reset your password.​ Instructions are located on the right hand side underneath "Other Resources".
  • Complete the 2015-2016 FAFSA 
  • Take your placement tests or submit sufficient ACT scores/transfer credit 
    • Review the COMPASS Placement Exam information inside your new student guidebook. Tests MUST be completed a week before your orientation date! Remember to bring a photo ID and your testing acknowledgement sheet.

New Student Orientations are held in room 2407.  Please be sure to only attend on your scheduled date.
