New Student Orientation

When you attend orientation you will:                            

  • Make valuable connections with peers, student leaders, and campus staff.
  • Discover Daley’s degree programs.
  • Learn how to select and register for classes– leaving campus with your first semester schedule in hand!
  • Become energized and excited about being a student at Richard J. Daley College!         

     

Visit the Welcome Center to schedule a New Student Orientation or you may schedule your Orientation online at daorientation.eventbrite.com​  As a reminder, the Placement exams must be completed online at least a week before your scheduled orientation.

New Student Orientation Checklist                            
     
    
  • Complete the Online Admissions Application, if you have not already done so.  
  • Access your New Student Portal and complete the Key Activities
    • Welcome Message
    • Events, including Mascot Week
    • College Resources
    • Placement Test
    • Finances
  • Provide Residency Verification 
  • Submit official transcripts
  • Submit official ACT and/or SAT scores 
  • Take your placement test online or submit sufficient ACT scores/transfer credit   
  • Attend a New Student Orientation

​No cost to students.

Timing

New Student Orientations are held in room 2407.  Please be sure to only attend on your scheduled date.
