New Student Orientation - Sign up today!

When you attend orientation you will:                   

  • Make valuable connections with peers, student leaders, and campus staff 
  • Discover Daley’s academic support services and degree programs.
  • Learn how to select and register for classes– leaving campus with your first semester schedule in hand!
  •  Learn how to navigate the responsibilities of college (e.g. college academics, financial obligations, and personal development)
  •  Explore opportunities to get involved in student organizations and athletics
  •  Become energized and excited about being a student at Richard J. Daley College!

 Visit the Welcome Center to schedule a New Student Orientation or you may schedule your Orientation online by visiting  daorientation.eventbrite.com. As a reminder, COMPASS Placement exams must be completed at least a week before your scheduled orientation. Be sure to stop into the Welcome Center for information regarding testing and to retrieve your testing acknowledgement​ sheet!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

New Student Orientation Checklist                    

[ ] Complete the Online Admissions Application, if you have not already done so.                   

[ ] File the FAFSA                   

· If applying for financial aid complete the 2015-2016 FAFSA application at www.fafsa.ed.gov as soon as possible. Daley’s school code is 001649.                   

[ ] Submit or send in ACT scores, final high school, and/or college transcripts to the Admissions & Records office in room 1408.                   

[ ] Take your placement tests or submit sufficient ACT scores/transfer credit                   

· Review the COMPASS Placement Exam information inside your new student guidebook. Tests MUST be completed a week before your orientation date! Remember to bring a photo ID and your testing acknowledgement sheet.                   

[ ] Create your username and password                   

· Students must retrieve their log-in credentials prior to attending orientation. Click here to retrieve your username or reset your password.​ Instructions are located on the right hand side underneath "Other Resources".

​No cost to students.

Timing

New Student Orientations are held in the Beattie Theatre from 9:00am-5:00pm. Please be sure to only attend on your scheduled date.
