The Arturo Velasquez Institute (AVI) shares in the mission and vision of Daley College. We not only offer courses as part of the traditional two-year associate-degree programs, but we also provide advanced and basic certificates to assist individuals in gaining the skills necessary to obtain entry-level jobs in the manufacturing, office, and health careers.  These programs echo the core values of the college by providing quality and affordable education, and many of them are financial aid eligible.

Our Adult Education program helps students improve basic literacy and math skills in preparation for the GED exam, as well as providing classes in ESL and Citizenship. These classes are tuition-free and are designed to help the individual attain their goals, be they post-secondary education, employment skills training, and/or personal and career enhancement.

The Continuing Education Department continues to strive to meet and provide a wide variety of educational programs and enrichment courses to meet the needs of people of all ages from our surrounding communities.  These programs vary from professional certification courses in the Health Careers, to Massage and Cake Decorating in Spanish, to courses designed for children to help strengthen their skills in Reading and Math as well as prepare them for the ISAT exam.

Our commitment to providing quality learning experiences for our students echoes our belief that an empowered community is an educated and successful community.
