Common Citation Formats

APA​

APA stands for the American Psychological Association. It is the citation style used in most of the social sciences and some of the natural sciences.


MLA

MLA stands for the Modern Language Association. It is the citation style most commonly used by literature and other humanities subjects.


Chicago

Chicago style is created and maintained by the University of Chicago Press. It is the citation style used by historians, and some arts and humanities subjects.
