College Bridge
The College Bridge Program allows qualified CPS high school students to enroll in free college classes at one of the City Colleges.
Once enrolled in the College Bridge Program, CPS will pay for your:
- Tuition
- Registration or lab fees
- Books
- Bus passes to commute to and from college
What are the benefits of the College Bridge Program?
- You will earn both high school and college credit.
- High school credit will be recorded as Advanced Placement (AP) credit.
- College credit will be applied to a degree program at the City Colleges or transferred to a four-year college or university.
To qualify for the College Bridge Program, you must:
- Be a junior or senior CPS high school student.
- Have a 2.5 or better Grade Point Average.
- Have 90% attendance.
- Have a written recommendation letter from a counselor at your high school.
- Taking free placement tests at a City College and place at English 101-Composition I and/or Mathematics 118-General Mathematics.
