College Quest
What is the College Quest Program?
The College Quest Program is a partnership between CPS high schools and the City Colleges that allows qualified students to start earning college credits towards a technical degree or certificate program while still in high school.
Students in the College Quest Program do not have to attend classes at the City Colleges to earn credits.
How does the College Quest Program work?
- See list of participating high schools.
- If your high school is participating, ask your counselor which courses at your high school qualify for the College Quest Program.
- Enroll in the qualified classes at your high school.
- Successfully complete the qualified class at your high school.
- After you graduate, you can apply the College Quest credits you have earned at high school towards your college degree or professional certification at your City College.
What are the benefits of College Quest?
- Earn free college credit just by taking classes with your friends at your high school.
- What you learn in your College Quest classes may make it easier to get a job after high school graduation.
- College Quest Program credits can be transferred to a four-year college or university.
What are the qualifications to enroll?
- Must complete a sequence of courses that lead to a College Quest occupation
- Must meet CCC Academic Admissions Standards
- Must be a high school graduate
- Must enroll at the community college within three years of their high school graduation date
- Must place at College level on the college entrance exam
- Must complete 12 credit hours at the college to be considered eligible to submit application for articulated credit.
- Must meet the measure of competency as indicated on the articulation agreement
- Must complete the Application for Articulated Credit
