Bb Faculty Support Website: Helping Students Access Blackboard

Just as you are facing changes with how you use Blackboard, so are your students. To answer their questions, there is a Bb Student Support Website. Here are some basic questions your students might ask you.

What is my Username in Blackboard now?
Students will use their Student Username and password to login to Blackboard. Student Usernames are also used to access My.CCC.edu and Student Email.

How do I find out what my Student Username is?
Students should click "Retrieve Your Username" from the My.CCC.edu homepage.

What happened to my old course assignments?
They have been copied to a network drive at the City Colleges of Chicago. Should you require access to past course assignments, please contact the instructor of that course.

I forgot my Student Username or password. What should I do?
The short answer is "Go to My.CCC.edu and Click Retrieve your Username." This will allow the student to reset their password after they have successfully answered their Challenge Question. I forgot the answer to my Challenge Question. What should I do?
Students who have forgotten the answer to their Challenge Question must request the answer via the My.CCC.edu Support Website (http://www.ccc.edu/sahelp/contact.shtml). Faculty members should also use this form if they have forgotten the answer to their Challenge Question.

When do I start using my Student Username to access Blackboard?
Students will have access to a Blackboard within 48 business hours of their registration (sometimes sooner). Access to courses occur during the first day of the term.
