GED

All colleges offer General Educational Development (GED) preparation courses designed to prepare students to take and pass the GED exam and transition into City Colleges of Chicago degree and certificate programs.  GED courses provide instruction in reading, writing, math, social studies, science and the Constitution.  Students are also provided with test taking and study skills.  Classes are offered in both English and Spanish.

GED Examination: The GED exam is administered through the Cook County GED Testing Program.  You can contact them for testing dates and information at www.cookcountyged.org or 847-328-9795.  You can take the GED in English, Spanish or French.  Large-print, audiocassette, and Braille editions of the GED Tests are also available for adults with disabilities.
